About Kelly

KellyHello everyone and welcome to my blog!

Where to begin…To start my name is Kelly Wood and I’m a native of sunny San Diego – I’ve been told that’s rare since we have tons of transplants to the city (side note – welcome transplants!). I am an established wedding, lifestyle, and portrait photographer available for travel in Southern CA, New York, San Francisco, Seattle…..and well, anywhere actually but those are just places I’m fond of. I’ve always been a photographer at heart, even in High School when I couldn’t get into photo classes because they were full (ha! take that high school).  Once I got my little hands on my first camera, well…the rest “they say” is history…..

The art of photography has always captivated me, especially the art of photographing people. There is just something so addicting about capturing great moments in peoples’ lives.  I am always so honored to be a part of a couples wedding day.  It’s the love of capturing lasting memories that keeps me coming back over and over again! And the idea these photos will be shared for generations to come makes me almost giddy.  I always wished that in my family we had photos from when my grandparents where young, but alas they are few and far between.  So being able ot give that to other families is wonderful.

Photography is not the only thing I’m passionate about  (while it’s safe to say it is #1). Here are some other things I love (in no particular order)…as well as random factoids
